How to participate in the CC Snap Election

Introduction

The CC Snap Election Portal allows individuals, organizations, and consortiums to submit their candidacies for the upcoming Cardano Constitutional Committee Snap Election.

The registration process is divided into stages to make it clear and simple. Each applicant type has slightly different requirements. Once submitted, your candidacy will appear publicly on the Candidates page.

Public Information Disclaimer

To ensure transparency and accountability, all information you submit, including your name, biography, platform, and contact email address, will be made publicly visible on your candidate profile page.

Do not submit any information you are not comfortable sharing with the public.

Editing your Candidacy

Important: Upon successful submission, you will be issued a Secret Token.

Please save this token immediately! It acts as your password. To update your application later, return to the Register page, click "Have an edit token?", and enter your credentials.

Proof-of-Life Requirements

Candidates are required to complete a Proof-of-Life (PoL) check. This ensures legitimacy, transparency, and trust in the election process.

How it works:

  • Default: You must provide a link to a short Proof-of-Life video. This video may be hosted anywhere you choose (YouTube, cloud storage, personal site, Dropbox or Google link etc.), but it must be publicly accessible and must link directly to a video file or a page where the video can be played without requiring login.
  • Exemption (Individuals & Organizations): If you were a previous candidate in the 2025 CC election, you may check the exemption box. This will remove the requirement to upload a new video.
  • Exemption (Consortiums): Consortium candidates from the previous CC Election are exempt from the Proof-of-Life check, provided that at least 50% of their consortium members also took part in the previous CC election.
